John Jerome Churchill

John Jerome Churchill, of Asheville, died on Sunday, March 25, 2018. John was the son of the late John and Anna Mullers Churchill. He was also preceded in death by son, Rob. Mr. Churchill proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years, and was employed with UPM Raflatac until his death He was a supporter of ABCCM, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Dr. Charles Stanley In Touch Ministries. He was also an avid bodybuilder. Mr. Churchill will be remembered as a Christian man who loved the Lord and his family. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra Kay Worley Churchill; children, Kristie, Kelly and Chad; sister, Lura Churchill; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Brown officiating. His family will receive friends at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. beginning at noon on Saturday. A reception will follow the graveside service immediately at The Capital Club, Downtown Asheville, 82 Patton Ave., Suite 800. There is a pay-to-park garage directly behind the building.
