John A. “Jack” Conner, Jr. of 1 Madeline Avenue, Asheville, died Friday, February 18, 2000, in an
Asheville hospital.
Mr. Conner was born in Statesville, NC, and was a son of the late John A. and Zora Deal Conner, Sr. He was a retired US Navy Engineer and was more recently employed as a master mechanic with Cranston Print Works. He was a member of Malvern Hills Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Southerland Conner.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends may gather at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
