Jean Spicer Baker

A native of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Zeb Spicer and Mary Justice Spicer, and wife of Lloyd O. Baker.  She was a machine operator with the NYPRO Company with 25 years of service.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Diane Honeycutt of Hendersonville and Dawn Wooten and husband Jeff, of Enka; two sons, Stoney Baker of Fletcher and Sonny Baker and wife April of Dana; one brother, Doug Spicer of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Bobby Honeycutt, Jeannie Beddingfield and Dylan Baker; and one great granddaughter, Alexandrea Beddingfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the Fellowship Baptist Church, on Howard Gap Road, of which she was a member, with the Rev. Jimmy Justice and Rev. Anthony Craver officiating.  Pallbearers will be, Ken Lewis, Michael Spicer, Anthony Bailey, Harold Hyatt, Dale Baker and Larry Holbert.  Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road, where the body will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
