Ione G. Mitchell

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray J. Mitchell who died in 1974.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Phyllis Mitchell of Weaverville; three grandchildren, Billy Mitchell, Jan Mitchell, and Murray Mitchell and his wife Sherlyn, all of Buncombe County; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Idella Ownbey and Loraine Plemmons of Asheville, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 9 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
