Helen Koops Doty

Helen Koops Doty, 85, of Rangeview Acres, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002. A native of Long Branch, N.J., she was the daughter of the late William and Adele Abels Koops and wife of the late James T. Doty, who died in 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Terry Covington and her husband, Rick, of Austin, Texas; two sons, Steve Doty and his wife, Martha, of Arden and Mark Doty of Candler; an six grandchildren, Tony, Doug, Greg and his wife, Leanne, and Kami Doty and Jason and Jeremy Covington. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 pm Sunday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
