Helen Hunsucker Brooks

Helen Hunsucker Brooks, 91, of 152 Gilbert Road, Leicester, died Friday, August 12, 2005. A native of Leicester, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Lucy Baird Hunsucker and was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Brooks, who died in 1991. She was retired from Gerber Products and was a member of Leicester United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Janett McNabb of Brevard; three sons, Mack Brooks and his wife Linda of Leicester, David Brooks and his wife Peggy of Enosburg Falls, VT and Bob Brooks and his wife Mae of Marshall; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Peace to our dear mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Leicester United Methodist Church with the Revs. Wendell Brittain and Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Bell United Methodist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and request that memorials be made to Leicester UMC, PO Box 64, Leicester, NC 28748.
