You have our deepest sympathy, mary alice, don, susan, bill and linda funderud.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers for yourloss. Mr. Hare was a wonderful neighbor and I have wonderful memories of him.
What a sweet, sweet spirit filled the mountains around Emma’s Grove
cemetery Monday during my Uncle’s
graveside service. All the pomp
and circumstance of a church service could not compare to the
beautiful setting where my uncle
was laid to rest. As the song
says, ‘there is something about
a mountain’ and add to that the comforting words so eloquently spoken by the Rev. Scott Lynch and
‘Amazing Grace’ sung under the majestic mountains and Heaven did not seem to far away. Words cannot convey how much I will miss ‘Boo’
and our small family is decreasing
so quickly.
I am so grateful to Rev. Lynch for
the words that brought peace to my heart. I know Heaven will have streets paved with gold but I have a feeling there will be a gentle
wind and a mountain range for us
to savor for the first ten million
years.
I remember Grover Hare as a good neighbor as I grew up and as the father of one of my great childhood friends, Judy. May he rest in peace and greet me when I make my own trip to Heaven. Bruce Howell
