Grace Kathleen Sams

Grace Kathleen Sams, 76, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville. A native of Madison County, she was daughter of the late Pitt Sherlin and Addie Atkins Sherlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Sams. Grace was a member of Oakley Freewill Baptist Church. Grace is survived by two sons, Ronnie Lee Pate and his wife, Ann and by Jerry Pate and his wife, Linda. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Dyer of Arden and also by six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, December, 6, 2011 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Reverend Bobby Robinson officiatng. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
