Glenda Burrell Redmond, 88, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
Born in Belmont, NC, Glenda was a daughter of the late Herman Glenn and Edna O’Daniel Burrell. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jamison Gibson; and sister, Fran Poss.
Mrs. Redmond was a longtime member of Piney Mountain United Methodist Church.
Glenda is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Franklin Lee Redmond, Sr.; daughters, Sherry Gibson (Lee) and Kimberly Redmond; son, Franklin Lee Redmond, Jr.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Mike Leslie will officiate.
