Georgina Foster, 85, of Key Largo, FL, and Fairview, NC, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center, Asheville. Mrs. Foster was the daughter of the late Reese and Lilia Ruiz, and was married to Ted Foster who worked for Pan American Airways and passed in 1984. Georgina was a former resident of Miami Springs, FL and was employed by Owens-Illinois in the accounting department until she retired. Surviving are two daughters, Carol McDade and husband, Robert, of Fairview and Kathy Hefner and her late husband, Jim, of Hickory; five grandchildren, Sean, Karla, Beau, Krystal and Tyler, and three great-grandchildren, Kristina, Payton and Isabela. Family and friends will gather for remembrances at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, Asheville. Interment will be at Dade Memorial Park in Miami, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
