George Logan, 81, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026.
Born in Marion, North Carolina, George was the son of the late George Washington Logan (most affectionately known to others as Wash) and Irene Lytle Logan. He lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a love for family and music.
George proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a talented musician who found great joy in listening to music and playing the piano. Whether sharing a song with family and friends or simply enjoying music at home, his passion for music brought comfort and happiness to those around him.
George is survived by his son, Aaron Logan and daughter in law, Trinity Logan; his stepson, Eric Davidson; his grandchildren, Anthony Little-Logan, Tatiana Logan, and Elijah Davidson; his siblings, Pepper, Glenda, Michael, Norman, and Wayne; and numerous other loving family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Logan and Irene Lytle Logan, and his siblings, William, Clara,Evelyn and Tina.
A funeral service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at the Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 962 Old U.S. Highway 70, Black Mountain, North Carolina. Dr. George K. Logan officiating.
George will be remembered for his kind spirit, his service to his country, his love of music, and the love he shared with his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
