George J. Gerukos
September 10, 1940 ~ November 27, 1999

Mr. Gerukos was born in Cleveland County and was a Radio Technician with the US Navy. He was a resident of Miami, FL, before moving to Asheville in 1970 and founding Gerukos Realty. He was a member of the Asheville Board of Realty.
He is survived by a son, John G. Gerukos of Leicester; a sister, Ann Bovard, a brother, Jimmy Demetriades, both of Miami, and a multitide of friends in the Leicester community.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Phillips officiating.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.

I wanted to extend my sympathy to you. I’m so sorry I couldn’t come to the visitation on Monday, nor the funeral. I think it’s important that you know, though, that your father made a tremendous impression on many people. His life touched many others…and they were blessed to know him.
Although I never met your Dad, I could see by his influence on you that he was a good man. I know he loved you deeply…it showed in everything he did.
My prayers are with you. I know you’re going to be ok–you’re a strong person. If there’s anything I can do to help you, please let me know.
