Gayle Kincaid, formerly of the Kenilworth section of Asheville died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in Greer, SC.
Gayle was born August 14, 1927, in Asheville. She married Clyde E. Kincaid on May 19, 1957. They were one of the founding families at Morningside Baptist Church near Tunnel Road, where Gayle served as church secretary and teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. McIntosh and Myrtle McGee McIntosh, by her husband Clyde, who died in 1981, a brother, James McIntosh of Dallas TX, and a sister, Hurley Bauman of Asheville..
Surviving are her son John E. Kincaid and his wife Kathy of Greenville SC, grandson, Logan Kincaid, granddaughter, Hannah Grace Kincaid, and brother, John McIntosh of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
No services are planned.
Private burial will be at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Lenoir, NC.

I knew Gayle through my book store in Fletcher, and we became friends. I would take books to her home in Kenilworth. She would save hers for me. I so enjoyed these visits. Was a dear person and I have thought of her often . So sorry to hear of her passing. Johnnie Coggins( Jenny’s Book Exchange)
