Garland Henry Padgett Jr., 44, of 645 North Luther Rd., Candler, died Monday, July 9, 2001 in a local hospital.
A native of Baltimore, MD., he was the son of the late Elmer L. and Mary Elizabeth Biddix Padgett and was a self employed painter.
He is survived by his wife Robbie Bridges Padgett; daughter and sons, Crystal, Jason and Aaron Padgett all of Marion, NC; step-daughter, Carrie Sutton; step-sons, Billy Odom and Dude Sutton all of Candler and two grandchildren, Curtis and Christopher Padgett.
His family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue. No
other services are planned.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Garland Padgett Funeral Fund, c/o
Groce Funeral Home, 1401 Patton Ave., Asheville, NC 28806.
My deepest sympathy for your loss of Gary. I knew Gary several years ago, but had not seen him or knew where he was now,but he was a very fine gentleman, and I hope the best for you and your family at this difficult time. God Bless!
