Frank R. Dastoli, 75, died December 8, 2011, at Mission Hospitals. He was the son of the late Carrie and Carmen Dastoli. Frank was born in Utica, NY receiving his Bachelor's degree at Utica College and earning his Master's and Doctorate of Biochemistry from Syracuse University. He was employed by several large pharmaceutical companies. He developed and implemented policies and standards for worldwide GMP compliance and audit programs. He traveled worldwide for work and pleasure. In retirement, he volunteered at many local facilities including Manna Food Bank, Salvation Army, Rescue Mission and Bele Chere. He served as the president of the social groups Blue Ridge Neighbors and Asheville New Friends and was involved with the Grove Park Inn Master Plan. He is survived by his spouse of 52 years, Gloria; a daughter, Debra Rieger and Tim Woods of Randall, WI; a son, Dean Dastoli and fiancee Connie Findley of Genoa City, WI; granddaughter, Jennifer and husband Jason Manthei of Waukesha, WI; a grandson, Michael Rieger of Trevor, WI and two great-grandsons, Preston and Grant Manthei. The family wishes to thank the physicians and staff at Mission Hospital's Heart Center for their care and compassion. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local charity of one's choice.
