The church family of Malvern Hills Presbyterian warmly remembers Frances. She was an example of faithfulness in the Lord.
I remember fondly Miss Farlinger. She was a true pioneer in the field of special needs education…Her gentle manner and kindred spirit touched the lives of many students in West Asheville. I was a student at Aycock Elementary ftom 1955-1961. She was quiet and unassuming, but certainly left her mark of the fabric of ztudents. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
I taught with Frances Farlinger at Aycock Elementary School for many years. She was a very dedicated teacher. I am so very sorry about her death.
She was a dear friend of our family growing up. Her mother was the first person to see me after I was born other than my parents. She also taught me in Sunday school at Malvern Hill Presbyterian.
She will be missed.
