Asheville - Fannie Louise Bowles Davall died Saturday, January 31, 2004, in a local healthcare facility. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Davall was daughter of the late William Richard and Bessie Virginia Mayer Bowles. She was wife of the late Thomas Charles Davall who died in 1998. Mrs. Davall was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church. Surviving is a daughter, Irma Shipman; three sisters, Mildred Cunliffe and Lillian Bowles of Skyland and Nancy Kaltenbach of Hendersonville; three brothers, Charles H. Bowles of Arden, Bill Bowles of Chesapeake, VA., and Jack M. Bowles of Orlando, FL.; one grandson and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Episcopal Church with The Rev. Victor Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, North Carolina 28813.

  2. I took care of Fannie at Black Mountain Center. We had alot of fun together, she was a very sweet lady.I will greatly miss her and our times sitting outside and talking about her life in Asheville.May God be with you and your family.
