Asheville Butterfly TrailEvelyn June “Lynne” Morano, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Asheville, NC, on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
Lynne was born to the late J. W. and Dorothy Agin in Laurel, Mississippi, and she grew up there. She became an x-ray technologist where she spent much of her career working for the Radiological Group in Jackson, MS. She was much loved.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Dr. Jim Morano. She is also survived by her 3 stepchildren, Jess Morano, Selena Johnson and Nick Morano; as well as her brother, Bill Agin and his wife Lisa of Madison County, Mississippi, and her nieces, Lindsey Agin and Cay Cay Varner.

Lynne was a dear friend. We met in Asheville and enjoyed our time together; eating out at fabulous restaurants, Biltmore concerts and spending the weekend in Bryson City taking a “moonshine ” train ride.
David and I will miss Lynne. We cherish our memories and time with Lynne and Jim.
