East Palatka, FL ~ Ethel Spillars Lance, 100, formerly of Racquet Club Road, Asheville died on Saturday, April 8, 2006 in Palatka, FL.
She was born May 11, 1905 in Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late James Spillars and Etta Wheelon and was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Lance, who died in 1977. She was a longtime member of Arden First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Bernice Stahman of E. Palatka, FL and Elaine Piner of Jacksonville, FL.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and one great great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday in New Salem Cemetery with the Rev. G. Scott Lynch officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 A.M. Saturday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
