Elizabeth Julie Turbyfill Towe, 81, of 199 Eliada Home Road, Asheville, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004.
Mrs. Towe was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Joe M. and Vanna Delea Williams Turbyfill. She was a former waitress at K-Mart and was a member of Brownwood Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, John Henry Towe and a sister, Sherleen Hollifield of Asheville.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with burial to follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The Reverend Bobby Benson will officiate.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

I will remember your family in prayer during this sad time.
Though the miles and time have kept us apart my memories are filled with
all the special times we shared when I was growing up. You shared your knowledge and had patience with me during the time when life was difficult to bear. Even though you are no long with us, your spirit will always be with me. I will cherish the memories of my youth when I was with you and the whole family. I may have moved away, but my roots will always be with you and the family I have in North Carolina.
