Elizabeth Hayward Lamb, 72, of 38 Davida Drive, died Monday, May 20, 2002, after a brief illness at a local health care center.
A native of Long Island, NY, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Ethel Davidson Hayward. She retired with her husband to North Carolina in 1988 where they became active members of St. Joan of Arc parish in West Asheville.
Mrs. Lamb is survived by her husband, Richard M. Lamb; four children, Paul Lamb of Flemington, NJ, Kathleen Harris of Irmo, SC, Michael Lamb of Brentwood, NY and Patricia Lamb of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Victoria Mamott of Kissimmee, FL and Virginia Hull of Brandon, FL and eleven grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with the Reverend John Pagel officiating. A reception in the parish hall will follow the service where visitors and friends will be received by the family. Burial will be private.
There will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 3 Louisiana Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806.

MRS. LAMB WILL BE SADLY MISSED BY EVERYONE AT MAGNOLIA HEALTH CARE CENTER, BUT WE KNOW SHE IS IN A BETTER PLACE.

Mrs.Lamb is in a better place now,rejoice that her sprit is now free and in no pain.
I REALLY ENJOYED TAKING CARE OF MRS. LAMB. I AM VERY SORRY OF HER PASSING AWAY, BUT SHE IS IN A BETTER PLACE NOW AND IS IN NO PAIN. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN MY THOUGTS AND PRAYERS.
