Arden - Edith Creasman Gasperson, 79, died Sunday, February 13, 2000.
A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Florence S. Creasman and wife of the late John B. Gasperson, who died in September, 1999. Mrs. Gasperson was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Skyland Volunteer Fire Department and was an avid genealogist.
She is survived by her daughter, Kaye Gasperson Brown of Arden; two grandchildren, Katrina Brown and Craig Borwn, both of Arden; two sisters, Peggy Swicegood of Arden, Evelyn Butler of Columbus, NC and a brother, Gene Creasman of Arden. She was preceded in death by a brother Jack Creasman.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Calvary Episcopal Churchyard conducted by the Rev. Steve Hines.
Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is in charge of arrangements.
