Besides Enka High School me and Eddie went way back to kindergarten at Hominy Baptist Church. I hadn’t seen him in years but you were gooder than gold my friend! God bless you Sir! And thoughts and prayers to you’re family.
Byrdene, I remember Eddie as a six-year-old boy playing Pee Wee baseball at Hominy Valley and running around at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church. May God bless you and keep you in your time of grief. Wayne.
So saddened to see this news…Eddie and I were buddies all throughout elementary, middle and high school. I lost track of him after graduation, and as social media became available I had searched for him in recent years. Sadly I was not able to reconnect with him. My most sincere condolences go out to his sweet Mom and the rest of his family.
Scott, you nailed it. You, Eddie and I were brothers in Mrs. Shorter’s class.
I only knew Ed a brief time ( 2 yrs) , he moved to kingsport after losing his home to hurricane Helene. I knew the day I met him that he was a sweet and genuine soul. He put off a light that shone bright whenever he was around. He was a true hero with a wonderful heart. He loved his cat so much and I am happy to say that the cat is alive and fine and will be transferred to a new home. I know our Lord and Savior is with him. bless his soul.
I was saddened to hear the news of Eddie. I have lots of great memories of Eddie thru church and school. Sending hugs to his sweet Mom, Byrdene and the rest of his family.

The world lost a good man but Heaven gained a kind soul, a great soccer player and a warrior. I knew Eddie since Kindergarten and have many fond memories of him and our mutual friends. Sadly I lost track of him after high school and saddened to learn of his passing. Prayers for his wonderful family in this trying time….

Dear Byrdene, I am so sorry for the loss of your precious son. I sorrow with you and your family as you walk through this time of tremendous loss, and yet I also rejoice because of our living hope in Jesus. One day we will see Jesus face to face and join all those who love the Lord and have gone before us. What a glorious day that will be! May the Lord comfort all your hearts and may His lovingkindness and peace be yours in abundance with each new day. I Peter 1:3-5. With love and prayers, Cheryl DeSantis, Harold and Jean Ballard’s daughter (I remember the visits so many years ago. You and your family were always so loving and kind. Thank you.)
Many years have passed, but I was always fond of Eddie. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, but thankful that our paths crossed.
I Pray the Lord will bring You, Aaron and the Family comfort and Peace.
