Donna Marie Coleman, 41, of 37-A Pisgah View Apartments, Asheville, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at her home. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Willa Dean Rice Coleman and the late Leonard Jay "Big Yank" Coleman. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Toby Mitchell, who died in 1997. Ms. Coleman worked in the catering business. In addition to her mother, survivors include a daughter, Candice Ann Marie Flores of Atlanta; two sisters, Serena Lance of Weaverville and Kimberly Coleman of Asheville; two nieces, Amber Denise Marie Mitchell and Serena Amber Geraldine Russ and a nephew, Christopher Mitchell, Jr. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home and request that donations be made to Groce Funeral Home to cover funeral expenses.

  3. Donna has been taken from us far to soon. She was a fun loving, good hearted woman. she will be sorely missed. It seemed she was finally on her way to really becoming the woman she wanted to be.     Donna, I knew her about 10 years ago when I lived at Pisgah View, I lived 5 doors down from her, she was good friend to me, at the time I was going through alot personal things and she was there for me, she will be missed, I only wish I could have seen her before this.. May God keep you at peace, I know she is in Heaven now… Bless her family and her daughter Candice she is a blessing from God..

  5. I AM REALLY SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE DEATH OF DONNA.I HADNT SEEN HER IN A WHILE BUT GOD ONLY KNOWS SHE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN BY ME. SHE WAS LIKE A SISTER TO ME GROWING UP.WE HAD SOME GREAT TIMES TOGETHER.THE FUN PART ABOUT MINE AND DONNAS TIMES TOGETHER WAS WE KEPT OUR MOMS GEUSSING WHAT WE WERE UP TO NEXT.LOVE YOU AND WILL DEARLY MISS YOU MAY GOD BE WITH YOU WEBB THUR THIS HARD TIME.
