I just wanted to say that I am going to miss my grandma a lot, and that she’ll always be in my heart.
Deloris, we will miss you. You were an inspiration to us all.
Love, Cathy and Randy
Mrs. File was a wonderful woman. A true lady and one of the sweetest I have known. I will always remember the warmth that came from her smile and the grace with which she carried herself. It was a pleasure to have known such an amazing person. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed with her presence. Thank you Mrs. File.
My deepest sympathies. She will be missed.
I had the great pleasure of working with Doloris and Jim in their early years in Asheville as part of the Preservation Society. They were both extraordinary people, wonderful friends, and truly made an enormous impact on the Asheville community. Although I have been gone from Asheville since 1986, I have had occasional opportunities to visit with Doloris. She has always brightened my day and been an inspiration. I am deeply saddened by her death and regret that I didn’t know that her health had declined. While it is impossible to make it to Asheville tomorrow for the funeral, I hope all the family knows how much Doloris and JIm were loved by everyone who knew them.
Deloris was such a wonderhul lady. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
To the family of Mrs. File,
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family of this special lady. I work in the ultrasound department at Mission Hospital and had the oppurtunity to meet Mrs. File about a year ago. She came to our department weekly and I became very close to her. We shared many stories, laughs, and a few tears. I just wanted her family to know that she touched my life and I am blessed to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with you. She will be missed and not forgotten.
Our Cousin Deloris was a most gracious lady. She and Jim hosted us in their home on many occasions before Jim died. Deloris continued to host our gatherings in splendid southern hospitality until she could no longer handle this alone. Then her family supported her to the end. We love her and miss her. We pray for her and her family.
