Clyde Ray Sluder, 72, of 99 Leet Sluder Rd., Leicester, died Saturday, September 29, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Campus Mission Hospitals.
Mr. Sluder was born in Buncombe Co. and was a son of the late Clyde Merritt and Fannie Foster Sluder.
Mr. Sluder had worked as a master farm machine mechanic. He will be remembered as a loving father and husband.
Mr. Sluder is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Brown Sluder; daughter, Sherri Godfrey, of Raleigh; sons, Rusty Sluder, of Leicester, and Philip Sluder, of Summerville, SC; one sister, four brothers; and five grandchildren, Amanda and Joshua Sluder, Ashley Godfrey, and Colby and Kelly Payne.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
