Cloyce H. Massey

Cloyce Hobson Massey, 87, of Asheville, died Tuesday, August 13, 2002, after an extended illness. Mr. Massey was born in Madison County and was a son of the late Lattie and Eugenia Sawyer Massey. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Juanita M. Ogle and a brother Jesse Lee Massey. He was a Coast Guard veteran of WW II and was employed as a master electrician with McClouth Steel Mill in Detroit, MI. He is survived by a sister, Nelle Massey Seabock of Franklin, a niece, a nephew, and a special friend, Juanita Rash. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald N. Welborn officiating. Burial will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
