Clois Ingle Lunsford, 81, of 14 Berry Hill Drive, Asheville, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at her
home.
Mrs. Lunsford was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Hicks and Margaret Buckner Ingle. She was married to Lloyd “Bill” Lunsford who died in 1989. She attended Mars Hill College and Western Carolina University and was retired after more than 32 years as an administrator for
the Buncombe County School System. She was a former member of Westwood Baptist Church and the
Candler VFW Auxiliary and at the time of her death was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra L. Harris of Asheville and four grandchildren, Brian Allen of Hendersonville, Jason Allen of Winston-Salem, Jennifer Ewart of Asheville and Jacqueline
Allen of Asheville.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Carson Moseley officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

I’m sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Mother died 10 years ago last month and daddy died 9 years ago this month. Losing them has been the worst thing that I’ve ever gone through. I will remember you in my thoughts and prayers.
We did have good times growing up together. I remember your wonderful sense of humor. Your mother was very sweet and pleasant – – a pleasure to know. Your parents and you were a very big part of my church family. Of course I also remember them from the family reunions too …. I just don’t remember how we were ‘kin’. That’s also something I miss … not being able to ask my parents questions about things like this. I’m sure Aunt Mildred can tell me (if I can remember to ask). My memory isn’t as good as it used to be!
I am working in Morganton, NC now and my husband sent Clois’ information to me in an e-mail. I just found out about it this morning. I stay down here during the week and just come to Asheville on weekends. If I had been in town, I would’ve come to the visitation last night.
I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you as you go through this difficult time. Our parent’s legacy lives on in us and in the way we remember them. Mine are still with me every day.

Just wanted to say I am sorry to hear of the death of your grandmother. I know you will miss her. She was such a sweet lady and I have pleasant memories of her when she was in Buncombe Co. Schools.
