Mr Charlie was such a joy to know. He will be greatly missed here at The Cove for a very long time.
He was also a special friend to his neighbors Lucas, Catherine, and Copper. They miss him already…
Charles was one of the best men I have ever known. He was very good to me and I could have never asked for a better stepfather. He always lifted me up and never tore me down. I will miss talking to him and seeing his smile and his laughing blue eyes. My heart is now missing a peice but I have comfort in knowning that he is in Heaven and I will see him again.
Charles was always one of my favorite cousins. My mother went to help Aunt Pearl when Charles was born and met my father there, so his influence on our family was there from the very beginning.
My deepest sympathy.
We were sadden to hear about your dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. God Bless you and your family. We love you.

I have claimed Charles as a good friend since we were teen-agers. We haven,t been as close these last few years as we were the first 50 or 60, but I still considered him as really good friend and know that if I ever needed him, he would always be there, as he was for so many others. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
God bless you,Lynn,Tim and family
Dear Lynn and family,
I already miss Charlie’s red Ford truck passing my house. I have been a neighbor and co-worker with Charlie at The Cove for the past 10 or so years and I will miss seeing him drive that John Deere tractor maintaining our gravel roads. ‘Humpy’ was one of his nicknames for creating humped moguls to keep rainwater from washing out our roads. It has been a blessing to know him during the final years of his life here on earth. May Our Lord bless you with comfort during this time of transition.

Now that Charlie is in heaven, I hope he knows what a blessing he was to The Cove and to me a co-worker. Blessings come in many ways, but for me, it was Charlie bringing me Bojangle Ham Biscuits. Thank you Lord for sharing him with us.
I will never forget Charlie’s smile and laughter. I don’t remember ever seeing him frown. He will be missed for a very long time.
I enjoyed knowing Charlie at work. He was always smiling and I loved his sense of humor and spirit. We will miss him very much.
Charlie was such a blessing to all of us that worked with him at the Cove. Whenever I drive on the Mountain Overlook road , I will think of him on the tractor and his ministry at the Cove.
My sweet precious Daddy . . . I miss you so much. It’s hard to believe it has been 14 years. Every time I am outside digging in the dirt and planting flowers I think of you and know that you are up in Heaven smiling down on me. I’m still feeding the birds and feel closest to you when I am outside enjoying the wonderful weather. I definitely miss your shining blue eyes and contagious laugh. I am comforted in knowing that you are in Heaven and I will see you again. I love you Daddy . . . . Lynn
