Charles Clark Weaver, Col., USAF (Ret.), of 1475 New Leicester Highway,
Asheville, died Sunday, September 27, 1998, at the Hospice Solace Center.
Col. Weaver was a son of the late Dr. William J. and Kathleen Clark Weaver. He was
a 1940 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, served in the Army Air Corps, during WW II, and
retired from the US Air Force Reserves. He was also employed as an administrator with
the Federal Wage & Hour Division.
He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Weaver Dearing of Tampa, FL; a brother, Robert
E. Weaver of China Grove, NC; three nieces, Sarah Mills Noonan of Jessup, MD, Carol
Weaver Pendleton of Fort Pierce, FL, and Alexandra Weaver Smalling of Dobson, NC;
and a nephew, William J. Weaver, III of Easton, MD.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday at Bell United Methodist Church with
the Rev. Richard L. Patzfahl officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leicester United Methodist Church,
1314 New Leicester Highway, Asheville, NC 28806, or to Mountain Area Hospice, PO
Box 16, Asheville, NC 28802.
