Betty Lou Case Plemmons Hyatt

Betty Lou Case Plemmons Hyatt, 83, of 58 Sluder Branch Road, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Mrs. Hyatt was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Loy Oliver and Dora Ella Burnett Case. She was married to James Onlie Plemmons, who died in 1976, and Billy L. Hyatt, who died in 2007. She was a horticulturist and a member of New Morgan Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Dawson and her husband, Howard, and James B. Plemmons and his wife, Rita, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Houston officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
