Betty Henson Henderson, 70, of West Asheville, died Saturday, February 28, 2009, at the John F. Keever, Jr., Solace Center.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Jackson County and was a daughter of the late Ben P. and Bertha Ensley Henson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry C. Henderson and by a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Henderson was retired from Sara's Beautyrama and she was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church and the Ladies' Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Carter of Asheville.
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at West Asheville Baptist Church with the Revs. Stan Welch, Tony Hooper and Darren Browning and the Rev. Dr. James H. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

I just found out this week about Betty’s death. Betty used to do my hair and my dad’s hair. She was sweet; she was very special and will be missed. What a smile! What a laugh!
