Bernice U. McCreary

Asheville - Bernice U. McCreary, 84, of Sweeten Creek Road, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002. A native of Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Urkiel and wife of the late Clyde H. McCreary, who died in 1983. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Hain of Arden and Barbara Alexander of Londonderry, Vermont; two sisters, Anne Chubin and Helene Horvath of Florida; five grandchildren, Shawn, Todd and Kyle Hain and Nicole and Scott Alexander. A celebration of her life will be held at 6 pm Thursday at Patricia’s home, 6 Raintree Lane, Arden. Please call 687 2390 for more information.
