Belle S. Brouillette

Mrs. Brouillette was born in Spruce Pine and was a daughter of the late Dewey and Lessie Willis Sparks.  She began her career as a beautician, then later joined Bon Marche Department Store as a salesperson.  More recently, she and her husband, Joseph A. Brouillette, who died in 1990, owned and operated Porky Pig Barbecue Restaurant in Spruce Pine.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda B. and Ray M. Browne of Asheville;  a grandson, Michael Brown;  and two  brothers, Guy and Ceal Sparks of Spruce Pine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Thursday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. John Pagel officiating.  Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.

A Prayer Service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home   on Patton Avenue, after which the family will receive friends until 7:30 pm.
