Fred & Donna:
Batt was a great person and I will truly miss seeing and talking with him at the Retiree Luncheon’s. He was always in attendance and will be dearly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are extended to the entire family.
Lucille and family,
I was saddened to hear of Hunter’s death this week. I really enjoyed the two visits I made with my Dad (Jim Davis) in September of 02 and 03. We had hoped to make another trip in 04, but I had a wedding conflict.
In all the stories my Dad has told me of his youthful years, it is clear that his cousin Hunter was also his best friend. When we talked about Hunter on Tuesday evening, Daddy said he never remembered an angry word between the two of them. I think my Dad divides these early years into two periods. The years Uncle Bat and his family were in North Carolina and the years they were in Florida. As an adult Daddy didn’t see Hunter often, but knew that he really wasn’t very far away. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was so sorry to hear of Batt’s death. When I think of your family, it always brings back wonderful memories of our youth. He will certainly be missed by the church, the CP&L gang, and the entire Oakley Community. My love and prayers are with you now, and in the days ahead. Nancy G. Price
