B. Dale Overman, 38, of 260 Cross Anchor Drive, Alexander, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Jimmy Robert and Elizabeth Angel Overman of Florahome, FL and was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Overman. He was a member of Stoney Fork Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Danny Overman of Alexander and Jamie Overman of Florahome, FL. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Bobby Winebarger and Daryl Vess officiating. His family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

    I was shocked and sadden to hear of Dale’s death. I am sorry. I remember taking Ricky and Dale both to Bible School at Stoney Fork. I believe Danny went too. They always enjoyed Bible School and were real interested in it. I can’t imagine losing a child and here you all have lost two. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Geraldine Rathbone Gosnell
