Ann Mae Carver, 69, of 251 Old County Home Road, Asheville, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Carver was born in Keene, NH, and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Worchester Nickerson. She was married to Charles E. Carver, who died in 2003. She is survived by three daughters, Tammy Roland of the home, and Nellie Hyatt and Karen King of Candler; one son, Johnny Carver of Asheville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hominy Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Rhinehart officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
