Ann Carter Swayne Bohan

Ann Carter Swayne Bohan, 80, of Asheville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in her residence. Born in Philadelphia PA, she was the wife of the late James Bohan, and the daughter of the late Harold and Ruth Carter. Ann was a caring, spiritual and thoughtful woman. She made herself available to her family and her close-knit circle of friends. Her loving and generous spirit will be missed by those who knew her. Ann is survived by her sister, Jean Van Acker of WI; her children, who all reside in NC, Martha Swayne, of Clemmons, Rebecca Austin, of Greensboro, Stephen Swayne, of Asheville, Donald Swayne and his wife Heather, of Reidsville and Judi Buckholz and her husband John, of Asheville. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Swannanoa Valley Friends Meetinghouse, 137 Center Avenue, Black Mountain, NC.
