Alice L. Sharpe
Mills River- Alice L. Sharpe, 95, of Mills River passed away Monday, January 16, 2012. She was born on May 2, 1916 in Amsterdam, New York and as a teenager moved to Staten Island, New York. She graduated from Curtis High School in 1934. She worked for the International Nickel Company before her marriage to William K. Sharpe, a native of Biltmore, North Carolina, in March of 1945.
After her marriage she lived in New York, New Jersey, and Georgia and was a homemaker. She was also active in Eastern Star and the Lioness Club. She retired with her husband to Mills River, North Carolina in 1986. Among her hobbies were reading and gardening.
She was predeceased by her mother, Mildred Francisco and her stepfather, Arthur Francisco. She is survived by her loving husband, of sixty-six years, William and her son, Paul, both of Mills River.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, Amnesty International,
or a charity of individual choice.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Lou’s passing. Even though I never got the chance to spend much time with her, I thought about her and both of you alot. You had many years together and I can understand how much you will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with both of you.
