It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Aiden Rae Singleton, age 14, of Candler, NC on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Aiden was a truly special young man. Aiden was cherished by his family and all who knew him. Though Aiden was non-verbal and faced significant medical challenges, he brought a quiet strength and a profound love into every life he touched. Aiden was a beloved son to his parents, Eric and Shauna Singleton, and his family is profoundly grateful for the care he received and the love he gave.

Aiden is survived by his mother and father, Eric and Shauna; his grandparents, Charlie and Annette Singleton, Carla Baker, and Mark Williams; aunt, Autumn Pheagin; uncle, Andrew Conn; and many cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Aiden’s quiet strength and the love he gave will stay in our heart forever.

  13. Aiden was such a gentle, feisty soul. Although he was nonverbal, you could always tell what he was thinking by his expressions. I hope you are up there now talking up a storm, little man! It was an absolute pleasure to be able to care for him and see him grow during the years I worked with him. I am so sorry for your loss Singleton family and you all are in my thoughts and prayers

  15. I am so sorry to hear of Aiden’s passing. Although I did not get to meet him personally, I know he was so very loved and cherished by all his family and friends. Lifting the family up in prayer during this difficult time and pray for peace and comfort.
