Agnes Dalton Blumenstein, of Cisco Road, died Sunday September 18, 2011, at age 93.
Born in Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Louise Knupp Dalton. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Blumenstein, son Robert Blumenstein, grandson Charles Blumenstein, granddaughter, Amber Blumenstein; brother, Worth Dalton and sister, Viola Carden.
Mrs. Graham attended Montreat College and Western Carolina Teachers College and was a teacher of French and English.
Surviving are two sons, Jack and Tom Blumenstein; daughter, Diane Jacob, grandsons, Christopher, Matthew and Glen Blumenstein, Andrew Jacob; granddaughters, Jasmine Blumenstein and Emma Jacob; brothers, Robert and Terry Dalton and sisters, Thelma Wright and Marjorie Lindsey.
Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Reed Memorial Baptist Church, 756 Fairview Road, Asheville. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Stonewall Memory Gardens Cemetery, Manassas, VA.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Care Partners Hospice, 117 Avondale Road, Asheville, NC, 28803.
Groce Funeral Home, Tunnel Road is assisting the Bluemenstein family.
