Kenneth Daniel Treadway, 88, of Asheville, died Sunday, July 12, 2026 at his residence. Born in Forsyth County, he was a son of the late Okey and Earline McKnight Treadway.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Flint Treadway; a daughter, Kelly Diane Treadway of Leicester; two sons, Kevin Michael Treadway (Wanda) of Fairview and Karey Scott Treadway (Tonya) of Canton as well as four grandchildren, Hunter, Aubrey, and Emily Treadway and Andrew Bailey.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on a day yet to be determined in September 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Restoration Fund.

  4. Dear sweet amazing Ken! We were truly blessed to live next-door to Ken and Carol after we lost everything in the hurricane and moved in with my sister, and they just could not have been kinder to us. Ken had the best sense of humor and would even kick up his heels and a little dance sometimes. At one point, Ken and I had a very meaningful serious conversation about caregiving, and I personally felt so acknowledged by him, knowing that he had been a caregiver for so long. He was simply an amazing man, a man of integrity and brilliance, and he was very humble and never met a stranger. So blessed to have known Ken and he is already very missed. I picture Ken in heaven with my father and the two of them would get along famously. God bless the Treadway family. We are praying for you. We send our deepest condolences, but also know that God welcomed him in to heaven, we are better people just having known Ken. He was that kind of very special people.
