William M. "Bill" Abraham

William M. “Bill” Abraham, 78, of Candler, NC, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

A native of New York, NY, Bill was the son of the late Reginald and Evelyn Bendiner Abraham. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jane Weprin-Menzi.

Bill was a loving, kind, generous, and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and friends. He was a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and NYU and later enjoyed his career as a teacher and hypnotist. Bill was an avid reader, loved sailing, music, travel and adventures with his wife. He was intelligent, entertaining, inquisitive and had a playful sense of humor which he maintained throughout his life.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Marla Ross Abraham; daughters, Dara A. Frustaci and Marnie J. Abraham; grandchildren, Melanie and Leo Frustaci; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, at 3:30 p.m., at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. Those in attendance will be given the opportunity to share a brief thought or memory of Bill. His family also invites everyone to their home in Candler following the service.
