William Henry Dodd

William Henry Dodd, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 3, 2014. He was born in Buncombe County to the late Wesley and Lilly Mae Dodd and retired as a paver with Asheville Paving Company. He is preceded in death by his long-time friend and partner, Lucille Robinson Pruitt. Survivors include daughters, Wilma Dodd Moore of Clearwater, FL and Renee Joiner of Detroit, MI; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. Rev. Willard Pruitt will officiate, with special words from grandson, Brian Dodd. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
