William Darryl Crawford, 58, of Candler, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
A native of Buncombe Co., Mr. Crawford was a son of the late Charles Lee Crawford and Mary Louise Green Crawford. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Connie Maxine Green Walker, and his brother, Frank Charles Crawford.
Surviving are his son, Roy Brandon Crawford (Jade); daughter, Brooke Crawford; grandchildren, Holden Crawford, Laney Crawford, Gracie Rickman, Waylon Rickman and Novie Rickman; sister, Mattie “Missy” Austin; and brother, Terry Crawford.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Rev. Garry Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

I am so sad yo hear of Darryl’s passing. Such a great guy. We live off Milk sick Cove road and he was always around to give my boys tips and advice on riding motorcycles and dirt bikes. No one else took the time like him to do that. Prayers for all the family

Darryl Big Daddy Crawford was a wonderful person. He will be missed terribly at work. We all loved him. He seemed to always bring you up when you were down. If you didn’t like Big Daddy there was something wrong with you !! I thank the Lord for all the wonderful times we had together. We are praying for you Brook & Brandon . My the Lord help you both.
