William (Bill) Dallas Benson, age 67, entered heaven’s gates on December 26, 2020. He was born on November 9, 1953. He has been a long time resident of Asheville, North Carolina but recently had moved to White Lake, NC to enjoy his favorite pastime of fishing with his brothers.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of over 40 years, Yvonne Benson, who went to heaven in 2015. He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Pinion and her husband Chad with their children Zachary, Evan, Melody and Summer, and Kristie Darconte and her husband Jon and their children Casey and Hailey, Susan Whiteside and her husband Joseph and her children Sarah (Jonathan, Aaliyah) and Nicole (Easton). He is also survived by his siblings, Rufus Benson, Thomas Benson, Florence Pittman and JC Benson. He had many other loving friends and relatives who will miss him dearly.
Bill had an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church in Asheville, NC. Once a singer in a bluegrass band, he loved to listen to bluegrass music. His most favorite hobby was going fishing. His daughters have many treasured memories of going fishing when they were younger. His brothers also had lots of great times fishing with their brother.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
