Wanda Lee Coleman Dover, 90, of Fletcher, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at Universal Healthcare in Fletcher.
Wanda was born May 12, 1927 in Canton, NC to the late Benjamin George Coleman and Ola Mae Smith Coleman.
Mrs. Dover was a homemaker and was a former member of Hazelwood Presbyterian Church in Hazelwood, NC and after moving to Arden, a member of Arden Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, William Brentwood Dover (Phyllis) of Shelbyville, TN and her daughter, Cecily Dover Hall (Doug Hare) of Asheville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William Brian Hall (Meredyth) of Charlotte; William Tyler Dover and Emily Catherine Dover of Waynesville; step grandson, Chris Floyd (Jennifer) of Shelbyville, TN and step-grandchildren, Jacey, Anna, and Bryant of Shelbyville, TN.
Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William Gaston Dover in 2015 and their son, Scott Allison Dover in 2006; sisters, Bernice Coleman Suttenfield, Louise Coleman McClure and brother, Max Coleman.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Skyland.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the “Activity Department” at Universal Healthcare in Fletcher.
