Vito Stephen Rinaggio, Jr.

Vito Stephen Rinaggio Jr., age 69, of Hendersonville, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on Friday, April 10, 2026. Vito was born February 15, 1957 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to the late Vito and Rita Rinaggio. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Devin Rinaggio and Jonathan Torres.

Vito retired from Craggy Correctional Facility in 1998. He loved hunting, music, and playing Bingo and Uno. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Surviving are his wife, Joann Rinaggio; brothers, Rocco Rinaggio and wife Karen, and Jimmy Rinaggio, and wife Luann; sister, Mary Ann Rinaggio; daughters, Melissa Lanning and husband Jody, and Tracy Fisher and husband Barry; son, Stephen Rinaggio and wife Ashley; step-daughter, Sandy Torres and step-son, Troy Smith and wife Bridgette; 11 grandchildren, Haley and husband Brady, Sierra and husband Cameron, Braydon and wife Maddie, Titus, Liam, Madison, Kendal, Aubrey, Bobby, Elizabeth, and Rachel; and three great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Rd, Asheville, NC. The Rev. Barry Fisher will officiate.

Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting the family.
