Viola Farnsworth Clawson

Viola Jean Farnsworth Clawson, 76, of Anniston, AL, formerly of Asheville, died Saturday, September 24, 2005, in Alabama. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph E. Farnsworth, Sr. and Anna Pearl Luther Farnsworth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Clawson, who died in 2002; a daughter, Sandra Clawson and a brother, Ralph E. Farnsworth, Jr. She was retired from the Asheville Citizen Times. Survivors include a son, Paul Cecil Capps, Jr. and his wife Janice of Clinton, IN; four grandchildren, Paul C. Capps, III, Frank Christopher Capps, Kyle Duane Capps and Amelia Shouse and her husband Joe; a great-grandson, Justin Joseph Shouse and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Cantrell officiaitng. Entombment will follow at Ashelawn Gardens Mausoleum. Her family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
