Vernon McCoy Dale, 83, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at CarePartners Solace.

Born in Burke Co., Mr. Dale was a son of the late Joseph Garmon and Lillie Mae Cook Dale, and he was also preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.

Mr. Dale attended Blanton’s Business College and formerly worked as a manager in the trucking industry and retired from DAYCO. More recently he served as custodian at Deaverview Baptist Church (now Biltmore Church, West Campus) until April of this year. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of Biltmore Church.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Collins Dale; daughters, Terri Dale Yates (Danny) and Kelli Ann Dale (Glenn); and grandsons, Blake Dale, Dalton Dale and Colton Dale.

Graveside services with military honors will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Biltmore Church.
